Each passenger will be required to pay a base fare of 350 dirhams for this aerial journey.

Scheduled to kick off by the end of next year, the air taxi service will be managed by a reputable US-based aviation company. These air taxis have been meticulously designed to provide passengers with a remarkable aerial experience, offering panoramic views of Dubai’s iconic skyline and a seamless journey devoid of heavy city traffic.

Unlike traditional modes of transportation that involve long commute times, air taxis are expected to revolutionize travel within the city. Authorities anticipate a 70% reduction in travel times between key locations. For instance, a trip from Dubai International Airport to Palm Jumeirah, which typically takes around 45 minutes to an hour by road, can now be completed in just 10 to 12 minutes via air taxi.

With each air taxi accommodating up to four passengers and a skilled pilot, convenience and efficiency are at the forefront. Additionally, the inclusion of baggage compartments caters to different travel needs, enhancing the overall passenger experience.

Safety is a top priority in the design and operation of these air taxis, flying at altitudes ranging from 500 to 1000 meters. Pilots undergo extensive training to ensure a smooth and secure journey, with a dedicated mobile application developed by Joby Aviation simplifying the booking process.

The air taxis utilize innovative charging infrastructure, enabling quick turnaround times with the ability to recharge from zero to 100% in under ten minutes.
