“Nathan’s Famous embarks on a journey of global expansion”

Nathan’s Famous Inc. has exciting new expansions on the horizon, with plans to open brick-and-mortar locations and sub-franchised locations in Brazil by the end of 2024. The company has partnered with Alix Flit, Nathan’s Brazilian master franchisee, to spearhead this growth in South America’s largest country.

Currently, Nathan’s Famous has four brick-and-mortar franchised restaurants and 16 kiosks in convenience stores throughout Brazil. Flit is also set to launch Nathan’s products into retail locations nationwide starting in April. Flit recalls trying his first Nathan’s Famous hot dog in Coney Island at the age of nine and believes that the brand will revolutionize the hot dog scene in Brazil.

In addition to the expansion in Brazil, Nathan’s Famous will be opening virtual kitchen locations in the United Arab Emirates by the end of the year. The company is already operating globally, with recent virtual kitchen openings in Belgium and France, full-service franchised restaurants in Mexico City, and locations in Egypt.

Phil McCann, vice president of Marketing at Nathan’s Famous, highlighted the increasing international demand for the brand and emphasized the importance of expanding globally to meet this demand. With partnerships with master franchisees in various countries, Nathan’s Famous is poised for continued growth in 2024.

Furthermore, in Great Britain, Nathan’s Famous master franchisees, Reza Aghajanzadeh and Brad Armitage, have plans for a larger expansion outside of London. The brand is also partnering with a virtual kitchen partner to expand in London through delivery services.

Looking ahead, Nathan’s Famous will be opening new franchised locations at the Punta Cana Airport in the Dominican Republic in 2024, as well as domestic franchised locations in New York, Florida, Arizona, New Jersey, and Indianapolis. The company’s focus on international expansion and introducing the flavor of New York to new parts of the world reflects its commitment to growth and innovation in the global market.
