‘NACFB teams up with Air Ambulances UK for 2024 charity project – The Intermediary – Latest news on UK mortgages’

The National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers (NACFB) has announced Air Ambulances UK as its charity partner for 2024. This partnership aims to support the crucial services provided by the 21 air ambulance charities in the UK.

The decision to choose Air Ambulances UK was influenced by the positive impact of the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance on a colleague within the association. The NACFB has set a fundraising target of £15,000 and is encouraging its 1,200 member firms and over 160 patrons and partners to contribute through a dedicated Enthuse donation page.

Air ambulances play a vital role in providing pre-hospital urgent care and are dispatched over 107 times daily in the UK. The support from NACFB will fund these life-saving missions, which cost an average of £4,510 each, as well as support innovation and improvements within these services.

Norman Chambers, managing director of NACFB, emphasized the significance of the partnership, stating, “The Association’s support will help to fund not only these missions, but also innovation and development to ensure the air ambulance charities can continue to provide a world-class service across the UK.”

The partnership will be highlighted at major NACFB events in 2024, including the Commercial Finance Expo in June, the Commercial Broker Awards in September, and the Commercial Lender Awards in November, with special fundraising activities planned.

Simmy Akhtar, CEO of Air Ambulances UK, expressed gratitude for being chosen as the national charity partner by NACFB, stating, “We are thrilled and very grateful for the support from NACFB, which will enhance our efforts in assisting air ambulance charities in saving lives.”

Karen Jobling, CEO of the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance, also welcomed the collaboration, saying, “Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance are delighted to be part of this partnership with NACFB. The opportunity to engage with NACFB members on a regional level is one that we’re really excited about.”
