Musicians to perform at Carnegie Hall in tribute to Clive Davis

The New York Pops orchestra is set to honor legendary record executive Clive Davis at its 41st Birthday Gala in April. Many artists who have collaborated with Davis over the years will gather to perform at the event at New York’s Carnegie Hall.

Among the performers are John Mellencamp, Carlos Santana, and Santana’s “Smooth” collaborator Rob Thomas. Other artists confirmed for the event include Dionne Warwick, Barry Manilow, Toni Braxton, Melissa Manchester, Fantasia Barrino Taylor, Kenny G, Babyface, and Ray Parker Jr.

The concert is scheduled for April 29, with proceeds supporting the orchestra and its music education programs. Tickets can be purchased through CarnegieHall.org or by calling 212-247-7800.

Throughout his more than 50-year career, Davis has worked at Columbia Records, founded Arista Records, and established influential labels like LaFace Records, Bad Boy Records, and J Records. Inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and winner of four Grammys and a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, Davis has collaborated with iconic musicians such as Billy Joel, Janis Joplin, the Grateful Dead, Bruce Springsteen, Aerosmith, Rod Stewart, Barbra Streisand, and Aretha Franklin.
