Mindful Wednesday – April 9th Edition

In today’s fast-paced academic environment, the pressures of daily responsibilities can often lead to increased stress and anxiety. Recognizing this, Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) is pleased to offer a series of meditative sessions designed to promote mindfulness and well-being among its community members. Mindful Wednesdays and Mindful Thursdays are open invitation sessions where individuals can engage in meditation practices aimed at enhancing relaxation and mental clarity.

These drop-in meditation sessions are specifically tailored to accommodate the entire WPI community, including students, faculty, and staff. A certified meditation instructor will guide participants through each session, ensuring that both novices and seasoned practitioners can benefit from the experience. No prior meditation experience is required, making these sessions accessible to everyone seeking a moment of mindfulness amidst their busy schedules.

Mindful Wednesdays takes place from 12:15 PM to 12:35 PM at the Center for Well-Being, located in Daniels Hall 102E. For those unable to attend in person, an online option is available through Zoom, promoting inclusivity and flexibility in participation. The Zoom link for remote attendees is here.

In addition to the guided sessions, participants will receive a weekly email every Friday titled “Mindfulness Tools To-Go.” This communication serves as a valuable resource, featuring insightful meditations, poetry shared during the sessions, and additional mindfulness resources curated to support individuals in their journey toward greater mental wellness.
