Meeting between Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan and Transitional President of Chad in the United Arab Emirates

The Minister of State, His Excellency Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, recently met with the transitional President of Chad, His Excellency Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno, in the capital city of N’Djamena. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss ways to enhance the bilateral relations between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Chad across various fields of mutual interest.

During the meeting, Sheikh Shakhboot expressed greetings and well wishes from the UAE’s leadership, including His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, to President Déby Itno and the people of Chad for progress and prosperity. In return, President Déby Itno conveyed his greetings and best wishes to the UAE’s leadership and the people of the Emirates for further development and growth.

Both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation in all areas and reiterated their commitment to enhancing bilateral relations for mutual benefit. Sheikh Shakhboot highlighted the continuous development of relations between the UAE and Chad.

Additionally, Sheikh Shakhboot held a meeting with Mohamed Saleh Al Nadif, Chad’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Chadians Abroad, and International Cooperation. During this meeting, memorandums of understanding were signed to establish a joint committee and provide diplomatic training.

This visit is part of Sheikh Shakhboot’s tour of several African countries to strengthen ties between the UAE and African nations, explore opportunities for development, and establish new partnerships. The discussions and agreements reached during these meetings aim to further solidify the relationship between the UAE and Chad.

Overall, the meetings between Sheikh Shakhboot and the leadership of Chad demonstrate the commitment of both countries to deepening their cooperation and collaboration across various sectors.
