Lowry and Scheffler share the lead in final round of tournament

Irish golfer Shane Lowry is poised for potential PGA Tour success as he shares the lead going into the final day of the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Lowry, hailing from Co Offaly, delivered a solid third round performance with a score of 70, featuring six birdies and four bogeys, to tie with American Scottie Scheffler.

Both Lowry and Scheffler are currently at nine-under-par for the tournament, with Scheffler also posting a two-under round. Despite a missed opportunity for birdie, Lowry remains competitive at seven-under.

Meanwhile, Lowry’s good friend and fellow Irishman Rory McIlroy sits tied for eighth place at five-under after an impressive 68, matching the course record with a back nine of 30. McIlroy made history by driving the 10th green with a 365-yard tee-shot.

McIlroy draws on his recent victory at the Dubai Desert Classic for inspiration as he aims to narrow the gap between himself, Lowry, and Scheffler. The final round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational in Orlando, Florida is set to conclude today, with the two leaders teeing off at 1:35 pm EDT.
