London to Jeddah flights now available with British Airways

British Airways has announced its plans to resume flights to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, starting in the autumn of 2024. The airline will operate a four-times-per-week service from its main hub at London-Heathrow Airport using Boeing 787 aircraft. This announcement follows a series of big-ticket aviation news from Saudi Arabia, including a recent order of 105 Airbus A320neo family aircraft by the Saudia Group.

Colm Lacy, British Airways’ Chief Commercial Officer, expressed excitement about rebuilding connectivity between the United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia, emphasizing the business opportunities for both countries. The new route between London and Jeddah is already open for reservations and will commence on November 4, 2024, with year-round operations. The flight schedule includes departures from Heathrow at 20:10 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, arriving in Jeddah at 05:30 the following morning before returning to London the same day.

With the reestablishment of the Jeddah route, British Airways’ network in the Gulf region will expand to eight destinations, including Riyadh, Kuwait City, Muscat, Bahrain, Doha, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi. The airline also offers flights to over 65 countries this summer, showcasing its extensive global reach. This move signifies British Airways’ commitment to enhancing connectivity and fostering economic ties between the UK and Saudi Arabia.
