‘Lohan acknowledging how fame has negatively affected her health’

Former child star Lindsay Lohan recently opened up about the struggles she faced in the spotlight during her younger years in a recent interview with Bustle. Lohan, who famously moved to Dubai a decade ago in search of a more private life, shared harrowing details of how the constant attention from the paparazzi and her fame negatively impacted her mental and physical well-being.

Recalling her time recording an album on the set of the movie “Herbie” while promoting the album and shooting scenes for the film, Lohan revealed the intense demands placed on her time. She described a moment when she had to have a dentist come to her trailer because she had no time to visit the dentist due to her busy schedule.

For Lohan, her move to Dubai provided a much-needed escape from the relentless scrutiny she faced in Hollywood. In Dubai, where strict laws govern the behavior of paparazzi, Lohan was able to find a sense of normalcy and even found love. She explained that taking time for herself was essential for doors to open and for her to start saying “yes” to the things she truly wanted in life.

Lohan’s candid revelations come at a time when many women who rose to fame in the early 2000s are reclaiming their narratives and speaking out about the challenges they faced. While Lohan admires her peers like Britney Spears and Paris Hilton for taking control of their narratives, she is not quite ready to do the same.

She stated, “When I’m ready and I accomplish all of the things I want to accomplish, then I’ll maybe consider doing it. But my story isn’t finished yet, so I’m not in a rush to share my side of it.” Lohan’s interview sheds light on the darker side of teenage stardom and the toll it can take on mental health and well-being.
