‘Local Event Features Best-Selling Authors and Storytelling Contest at The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival’

The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival is set to return with an exciting lineup of literary events as part of Books on the Green. This year’s festival will feature a Storytelling Competition where the winner will be crowned the festival’s “Official Story Weaver.” Participants include winners of the monthly Story Teller Competitions held at Village Books.

Adding to the literary excitement, authors like Shirlene Obuobi, Julia Heaberlin, and Kirk Weddle will be presenting at the Books on the Green tent. These authors will showcase their work and have books available for sale at the Village Books tent during the festival.

In addition to author presentations, Books on the Green will also include a poetry corner to celebrate National Poetry Month. Attendees can also enjoy intimate coffee round table talks with authors and explore Texas’s most stunning coffee table books. Librarians from the Montgomery County Memorial Library System will be on hand to help attendees sign up for library cards and promote the importance of reading and literacy.

The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival is scheduled to take place from Friday, April 12 through Sunday, April 14 at Town Green Park.
