‘Lindsay Lohan Feels Her Achievements are Diminished by Paparazzi’
Former Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan recently spoke out about feeling overshadowed by paparazzi during the early years of her career. In a candid interview with Bustle, the 37-year-old expressed her frustration at how her work was often eclipsed by the constant intrusion of the paparazzi.
“I feel like some of (my work) got overshadowed by paparazzi and all that kind of stuff when I was younger, and that’s kind of annoying,” Lindsay shared. “I wish that part didn’t happen.” The Mean Girls star went on to explain how the media frenzy surrounding her personal life became overwhelming, prompting her to make the decision to step back from the spotlight.
“Having spent most of her life in front of the camera, Lindsay was dubbed a party girl in the early 2000s, as she was regularly photographed partying late into the night,” the article reads, highlighting the actress’s well-documented social life during that time.
In an effort to escape the constant scrutiny, Lindsay made the move from Hollywood to London before ultimately settling in Dubai, where there is a paparazzi ban. Living a more peaceful life with her husband Bader Shammas and their son Luai, who was born last year, Lindsay has embraced a quieter existence far from the hustle and bustle of celebrity culture.
Although some of her peers have chosen to release tell-all memoirs or documentaries about their past experiences, Lindsay explained that she is not yet ready to share her own story. “When I’m ready and I accomplish all of the things I want to accomplish, then I’ll maybe consider doing it. But my story isn’t finished yet, so I’m not in a rush to share my side of it,” she revealed.
Currently, Lindsay is focused on promoting her new film Irish Wish, set to be released on Netflix this Friday. Her journey from Hollywood party girl to Dubai-based mom reflects a desire for privacy and a fresh start away from the glare of the paparazzi. With her eyes set on the future, Lindsay Lohan is determined to let her work speak for itself.
