Leaders from UAE and Jordan advocate for unrestricted humanitarian aid to Gaza
The leaders of the UAE and Jordan, President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and King Abdullah II Bin Al Hussein, met on Thursday to discuss strengthening the longstanding relations between their countries. They highlighted the importance of advancing the development and prosperity of their people while also addressing various regional and international issues of mutual concern.
Sheikh Mohamed warmly welcomed King Abdullah II to Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi, extending greetings for the Holy Month of Ramadan and expressing hope for blessings, peace, and stability for both nations and the world. The two leaders delved into collaboration in areas such as development, economics, and politics, emphasizing the need for continued cooperation.
During their meeting, Sheikh Mohamed and King Abdullah II also touched on the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, stressing the importance of ensuring safe and unimpeded aid delivery via land, sea, and air. They advocated for international efforts to maintain regional stability and work towards a comprehensive, just, and lasting peace through a two-state solution.
The commitment to close coordination on mutual interests was reaffirmed by both leaders, underscoring their dedication to enhancing the security and stability of the region. Sheikh Mohamed hosted an Iftar dinner in honor of King Abdullah II and his delegation, with notable attendees including Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Following the fraternal visit, King Abdullah bid farewell at Al Bateen Executive Airport in Abu Dhabi. The meeting between the UAE and Jordan leaders signifies a continued effort to foster strong ties and address significant issues affecting the region.
