Launch of 2nd Cyber Pulse Initiative for Women and Family in Abu Dhabi with Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak’s patronage

Under the esteemed patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, the second Cyber Pulse Initiative for Women and Family has been launched in Abu Dhabi. The initiative, in collaboration with the Cybersecurity Council and the Khalifa Empowerment Program, Aqdar, aims to promote awareness and education in the field of cybersecurity.

A ceremony held at the headquarters of the General Women’s Union in Abu Dhabi saw the launch of this initiative, which includes various activities such as dialogue sessions on Artificial Intelligence in the Digital Space. The event was attended by prominent figures including Dr Mohammed Al Kuwaiti, Chairman of the Cybersecurity Council of the UAE Government, Dr Ibrahim Al Dabal, CEO of the Khalifa Empowerment Program, and Engineer Ghalia Al Mannai, Chairman of the Affairs Committee at the General Women’s Union.

The initiative also included the graduation ceremony of the first batch of female trainees who underwent specialized training to provide courses, workshops, and lectures aimed at benefiting a total of 50,000 community members. The initiative surpassed its target, benefiting over 115,000 individuals through workshops and awareness brochures focused on promoting social responsibility, digital awareness, and safe usage of modern technologies.

The second batch of the Cyber Pulse Initiative for Women and Family aims to reach 300,000 beneficiaries in 2024, with a focus on expanding efforts to empower women in the field of cybersecurity. The General Women’s Union, along with its strategic partners, is committed to enhancing the training program to include a new track on artificial intelligence in cyberspace.

The goal of the initiative is to equip female candidates with the necessary skills to address cybersecurity challenges and empower them to contribute effectively to cybersecurity efforts in the UAE. With the support of over 30 entities and partners, the initiative aims to elevate the status of women in cybersecurity and cultivate a culture of cybersecurity awareness in society.

Furthermore, the General Women’s Union plans to extend the reach of the initiative to Arab countries, aligning with the vision of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak to support women’s empowerment and humanitarian efforts globally. Through such initiatives, the UAE aims to lead the way in empowering women in the field of cybersecurity and promoting a safer digital environment for all.
