‘Joint Statement from UAE and Oman emphasizes peace, stability, and prosperity for all nations’

The United Arab Emirates and the Sultanate of Oman have released a joint statement following a two-day visit by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq to the UAE.

The statement highlights the deep-rooted ties of brotherhood and cooperation between the two countries, with Sultan Haitham bin Tariq leading a high-level delegation in response to an invitation from President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Discussions between the two leaders focused on regional and international developments, emphasizing the importance of coordination to serve common interests and enhance stability and security in the region. In light of regional challenges, both sides called for restraint to protect the region from escalation and instability, emphasizing the importance of abiding by international law and resolving disputes through diplomacy and dialogue. They also called on the United Nations and the Security Council to uphold their responsibilities in promoting international peace and security.

On the economic and investment front, the leaders praised efforts to enhance bilateral cooperation, encouraging the public and private sectors to boost trade exchange and investment. They highlighted the need for strategic partnerships to meet the aspirations of their peoples and advance cooperation in the future.

At the end of the visit, Sultan Haitham bin Tariq expressed gratitude for the warm reception and hospitality extended by the UAE, wishing continued progress and prosperity for the country. President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan reciprocated the well wishes, expressing hopes for further progress and prosperity for Oman and its people.
