‘Joint Effort to Introduce Active Abu Dhabi Program’

Emirates Foundation and PureHealth Collaborate to Launch Active Abu Dhabi Initiative

Abu Dhabi is set to witness the launch of the ‘Active Abu Dhabi initiative’, a collaborative effort between the Emirates Foundation and PureHealth. This year-long program aims to encourage active and healthy lifestyles among residents of the Emirate.

Commencing on March 18th, 2024, the initiative will kick off with a 14-day walking challenge named “First Steps” at Umm Al Emarat Park. This event is free for all and welcomes individuals of all fitness levels. Participants can look forward to daily challenges, informative sessions, and exciting prizes.

With 37.3% of residents in Abu Dhabi already meeting the World Health Organization guidelines for physical activity, Active Abu Dhabi seeks to build on this progress by enhancing sports participation, fostering community engagement, and promoting overall well-being.

The partnership between the Emirates Foundation and PureHealth will make use of PureHealth’s AI-powered longevity app, Pura. Through this app, participants will receive challenges and incentives to encourage active engagement and progress towards healthier lifestyles, in line with PureHealth’s mission of promoting longevity and holistic well-being.

CEO of Emirates Foundation, Ahmed Al Shamsi, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating that it signifies a significant move towards a healthier and more connected Abu Dhabi. He emphasized the importance of impactful partnerships in promoting health, wellness, and community engagement.

PureHealth CEO, Shaista Asif, added that the collaboration with Active Abu Dhabi presents an opportunity to contribute to a health-conscious and vibrant community. By leveraging the power of community, PureHealth aims to inspire all residents to embrace an active lifestyle.

Founder of Active Abu Dhabi, Mansour Al Dhaheri, highlighted the significance of teaming up with PureHealth to expand their reach and amplify their impact. Together, they aim to inspire more individuals to experience the benefits of an active lifestyle.

The 14-day “First Steps” challenge will take place at Umm Al Emarat Park from March 18th onwards, with daily participation available from 3PM to 6PM and 8PM to 11PM. Residents can choose to participate in person at the park or virtually through the Pura app.
