‘Jeff Galletly appointed as first CEO of Brooklyn Dumpling Shop’

Brooklyn Dumpling Shop, a popular fast-casual restaurant chain, has appointed Jeff Galletly as its first CEO, the company announced on Wednesday.

Galletly joined Brooklyn Dumpling from Restaurant Brands International Inc., where he previously held the position of vice president and general manager of Tim Hortons USA. He officially assumed the role in January.

Under Galletly’s leadership, Brooklyn Dumpling Shop recently celebrated the opening of its 10th unit in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Prior to joining Brooklyn Dumpling, Galletly held various roles within RBI, the Toronto-based parent company of Tim Hortons, Burger King, Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, and Firehouse Subs.

With a background in investment and marketing at companies like Wingate Partners, VMG Partners, and PepsiCo, Galletly expressed excitement about the entrepreneurial opportunities and planned expansion at Brooklyn Dumpling.

In addition to its Canadian location in Calgary, Brooklyn Dumpling Shop has restaurants in New York, Charlotte, N.C., Hoboken, N.J., Austin and Dallas, Texas, and Philadelphia, Pa., with plans to open new locations in Florida, Georgia, and Vancouver, Canada.

In his new role, Galletly will oversee all aspects of the business, focusing on operations in current locations, franchise growth, and culinary innovation. The company recently closed a funding round supported by Kevin O’Leary of Shark Tank and Matt Higgins, CEO of RSE Ventures.

As a brand known for its technology focus, Brooklyn Dumpling Shop introduced a new point of sale system and expanded internationally with its first location in Canada earlier this year.
