Ingeteam secures deal to provide 250 MW of solar power in the Tabernas desert

Ingeteam, a leading provider of renewable energy solutions, has begun manufacturing 70 photovoltaic inverters for a solar project set to be located in the Tabernas Desert in Southern Spain. Known for its role as a filming location for Hollywood movies, the Tabernas desert project is expected to have a power output of 250 MW and generate an estimated annual capacity of 466.6 GWh. This facility aims to provide green energy to over 126,300 households, ultimately reducing CO2 emissions by more than 127,380 tonnes per year.

The supply agreement between Ingeteam and Grenergy includes the provision of 70 INGECON SUN 3Power C Series inverters, along with a control system and equipment commissioning for the renewable energy plant. These inverters will be distributed across 35 transformer stations as part of a turnkey solution for easy installation.
