Increase in Arab tourism in the Tatra region

The Tatra Mountains have been gaining popularity among tourists from the Arabian Peninsula, particularly from countries like the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Kuwait.

Karol Wagner, representing the Tatra Economic Chamber, has observed a significant increase in tourism from Arab countries. He noted a rise in summer holiday bookings and the expansion of flight connections to Kraków, indicating a growing interest in the region.

Wagner mentioned that demand for holidays in the Tatra Mountains among Arab guests is on the rise. He stated that bookings from this demographic have increased by 20% compared to the same period last year, with the numbers continuing to grow.

Arabian Peninsula tourists are known for spending generously during their travels. They have specific preferences and are willing to pay extra for unique experiences, including enjoying special and unfamiliar cuisines.

Aside from visitors from Arab countries, hoteliers in Zakopane are also anticipating an influx of Hungarian and Slovak tourists this summer. Wagner highlighted that Poland remains attractive to these visitors not just for the affordability of tourist services, but also for the variety of goods available for purchase, ranging from food products to clothing.

In summary, the Tatra Mountains are becoming a sought-after destination for tourists from the Arabian Peninsula, with increasing numbers of bookings and a diverse range of visitors expected this summer.
