Inauguration of Al Eqd Al Fareed School in Dibba Al Hisn by Sharjah Leader

The importance of education and its development was emphasized by HH Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, during the opening of Al Eqd Al Fareed School – Cycle 1 in the city of Dibba Al Hisn. The new school, built to replace the old one, aims to enhance the students’ learning experience and provide a high-quality educational environment.

HH Dr Sheikh Sultan expressed his commitment to continuously developing schools and improving the educational level across the emirate of Sharjah. The newly opened school, located on Al Hisn Island, reflects unique Islamic architecture and cultural heritage, in line with the city’s characteristics.

Spanning 35,000 square meters, with a building area of 7,060 square meters and 24 classrooms, the school is equipped with modern educational technologies to support interactive learning. It features outdoor terraces for outdoor lessons, activity rooms, laboratories, a library, and a multi-use hall with an amphitheater for events and lectures.

The school also provides air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned sitting areas, large yards with sports fields, and indoor parking spaces. Facilities such as a cafeteria, library, laboratories for computer and general sciences, rooms for drawing and music activities, administrative offices, health clinics, and prayer rooms cater to the needs of both teachers and students.

With a focus on creating a conducive environment for learning and growth, the Al Eqd Al Fareed School underscores HH Dr Sheikh Sultan’s commitment to advancing education in Sharjah. The school’s facilities and services aim to enhance the overall educational experience and ensure students’ holistic development.
