“Impressive Performance as Bluestocking Dominates Middleton”

Bluestocking emerged victorious in the Al Basti Equiworld Dubai Middleton Fillies’ Stakes at York, putting on an impressive performance. Under the guidance of jockey Rossa Ryan, the four-year-old maintained a steady pace throughout the race, eventually overtaking Sapphire Seas to secure a six-length victory at odds of 5-2.

Trained by Ralph Beckett and owned by Juddmonte, Bluestocking’s win was a long-awaited triumph after finishing as a runner-up in the Irish Oaks and British Champions Day last season. Beckett expressed his delight with the win, highlighting the mare’s improvement and confidence on the track.

Looking ahead, Beckett remained open to future plans for Bluestocking, considering options like the Coronation Cup. Meanwhile, last year’s runner-up Free Wind, trained by John and Thady Gosden, put in a solid performance and is now set to step up to longer distances in upcoming races.

Gosden shared his plans to challenge for a Group One victory with Free Wind, emphasizing the filly’s capabilities and progression in recent seasons. With both Bluestocking and Free Wind showing promise in their recent outings, the stage is set for exciting developments in the upcoming races.
