IAG Cargo resumes services to Abu Dhabi

IAG Cargo, the cargo division of International Airlines Group (IAG), has announced the launch of its summer schedule, which will see an increase in services between its main hubs in London, Madrid, Barcelona, and Dublin, and various key destinations worldwide.

Camilo Garcia Cervera, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer at IAG Cargo, expressed excitement about the new summer schedule, stating that it will offer enhanced capacity and flexibility for customers. The expansion includes a focus on Africa and the Middle East, with Abu Dhabi International Airport being reintroduced to the schedule after a four-year absence. Abu Dhabi’s state-of-the-art facilities make it an important regional logistics hub, and IAG Cargo is keen to contribute to its growth.

One significant update is the resumption of services between London Heathrow and Abu Dhabi on April 20th, utilizing a Boeing 787-9 widebody aircraft. This route is part of a 19% increase in weekly rotations to Africa and the Middle East.

Moreover, there will be a 9% increase in capacity on key transatlantic routes to Latin America and the Caribbean. Madrid will see additional flights to Buenos Aires and Sao Paulo, while London Heathrow will have more services to San Diego and Chicago. A new service between Barcelona and Miami has also been launched.

IAG Cargo provides access to six continents from London with over 600 weekly widebody services. Dublin serves as a gateway to North America with 80 weekly widebody rotations, while Madrid and Barcelona offer over 240 weekly widebody services connecting to North America, Latin America, and the Caribbean.
