Host of 26th WETEX at Dubai World Trade Centre

Dubai is set to host the 26th Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) from October 1st to October 3rd, 2024 at the Dubai World Trade Center. The event, organized by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), is a vital platform for showcasing the latest innovations and solutions in the energy and environmental sectors.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA, emphasized the significance of WETEX in supporting the UAE and Dubai’s initiatives towards sustainability and achieving net-zero goals, especially in the UAE’s Year of Sustainability. He highlighted how the exhibition serves as a global hub for learning about cutting-edge technologies from around the world to address current and future challenges, ensuring a more sustainable future for all.

The exhibition plays a crucial role in advancing the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 and the Dubai Net Zero Carbon Emissions Strategy 2050, which aim to transition to 100 percent clean energy sources for power production by 2050. This progress is attributed to the unwavering support from the distinguished leadership in Dubai.

WETEX continues to attract support from sponsors, partners, and stakeholders who view it as an annual opportunity to connect, collaborate, and explore investment prospects in the local and regional markets. In the previous edition, the 25th WETEX in 2023 saw participation from 2,600 businesses representing 62 countries, with 76 domestic and foreign entities serving as sponsors. The event featured 24 international pavilions from 16 countries and occupied an impressive 78,000 square meters of space.

Overall, WETEX remains a prominent platform for driving sustainability, innovation, and partnerships in the water, energy, and environmental sectors, contributing to the UAE’s journey towards a greener and more sustainable future.
