Julien Epaillard, currently ranked fourth in the world, secured a victory in Thursday’s CSI4* 1.50m Prix Espace Beaujolais Agglo at the 2024 edition of Mâcon Chaintré Jumping International. Riding Cancun Torel Z, Epaillard stopped the clock at 64.96 seconds, leading the competition. Scott Brash followed in second place with Hello Vittoria in 67.70 seconds, while Richard Breul and Easy took third place with a time of 68.15. Cedric Hurel and Fantasio Floreval Z claimed fourth place in 68.90 seconds, with Morgan Bordat and Uma finishing in fifth place in 69.18 seconds, bringing success to the host nation.

Epaillard praised his winning mare Cancun, describing her as competitive and comfortable in speed classes at this level. He also expressed his satisfaction with the performance of Donatello d’Auge and Dubai du Cèdre, who will be competing in upcoming classes. Epaillard commended the facilities at Mâcon Chaintré Jumping International, noting the significant improvements since his last visit and expressing his delight at being a part of the event.
