‘High Quality Education at Hill Top Academy Continues for Students’

Hill Top Academy Receives Outstanding Ofsted Rating

In a recent Ofsted inspection, Hill Top Academy has once again achieved an “Outstanding” rating in all areas. The inspectors assessed the quality of education, behavior and attitudes, personal development, leadership and management, and Early Years program, all of which were deemed to be at the highest level. This recognition places the school among the elite education providers in the UK.

During the inspection, the inspectors had the opportunity to meet with various staff members, including the CEO, Executive Principal, leaders, directors, and local governors. They also interacted with students, observed lessons and extracurricular activities, and delved into different areas of the curriculum such as Reading, Mathematics, Geography, PE, and Art.

The report commends Hill Top Academy for providing exceptional opportunities for its pupils. The school’s dedication to ensuring every student learns and achieves well is evident. The staff and leaders share a vision of “Every Child, Every Chance, Every day,” and this is reflected in the exemplary behavior of the pupils both in class and around the school.

Inspectors noted the exceptional quality of education provided by the school, praising the clear curriculum design and the emphasis on helping students make connections to deepen their understanding. The report also highlighted the school’s ambitious curriculum and the support provided for teachers and support teams. Additionally, the provision for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities was recognized as a strength.

Other strengths identified in the report include the teaching of Reading, the Early Years program, the focus on personal development, and the leadership within the school, including governance.

Executive Principal Rachael Macleod expressed her delight at Ofsted’s recognition of Hill Top Academy, acknowledging the hard work and high expectations that have led to excellent academic outcomes. CEO Beryce Nixon OBE also commended the whole team effort and partnership working with the community of Edlington for contributing to this outstanding achievement.

Chair of the Local Governing Board, Keith Binks, attributed the school’s continued Outstanding rating to the hard work and dedication of everyone involved with the school and the Trust. This achievement is a testament to the ongoing commitment to providing exceptional education at Hill Top Academy.
