‘Harvest Festival in Kolaportin – 30 Years of European Cooperation!’
The Harvest Festival is celebrating 30 years of European Economic Area (EEA) cooperation and will take place at Kolaportið from 14:00 to 18:00. The event is free and open to the public, offering a chance to learn about the successful collaborations between the EU and Iceland.
The festival will feature around 50 booths showcasing various projects funded by EU programs in sectors like education, creative industries, youth, research, innovation, civil protection, and civil society. Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with project representatives and EU Member State Embassies to understand the benefits of European cooperation.
In addition to the informative booths, there will be performances by artists and musicians on the main stage. Guests can also enjoy a celebratory cake, coffee, and pastries as part of the festivities.
The festival will be opened by Mr. Guðni Th. Jóhannesson, the President of Iceland, making it a must-attend event for those interested in celebrating and learning about 30 years of collaboration between Iceland and the European Union.
