‘Grand Mosque Ready for Ramadan Celebrations’

The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre (SZGMC) in Abu Dhabi is fully prepared to welcome worshippers and visitors during the Holy Month of Ramadan. With dedicated committees and teams in place, the center ensures organized and seamless operations around the clock to cater to the increasing number of people in attendance.

In collaboration with various strategic partners, both governmental and private entities, the SZGMC has conducted meetings to ensure a smooth and efficient system in place. Over 580 qualified volunteers have been enlisted to work alongside the Centre’s employees, the Emirates Red Crescent, the volunteer team Absher Ya Watan, police officers, paramedics, and Civil Defense personnel to provide top-notch services to worshippers.

To enhance the overall experience for worshippers, the mosque has introduced more than 70 electric cars for transportation from parking lots to prayer halls, prioritizing the elderly and individuals with disabilities. Additionally, the SZGMC has allocated 8,379 parking spaces, including specific areas for women and people with disabilities, with an additional 1,800 spaces added this year. The center has also provided over 3,515 chairs and 50 wheelchairs for worshippers.

As the SZGMC continues to improve its services and fulfill its social responsibility towards volunteerism, worshippers can expect a comfortable and enriching experience during Ramadan.
