‘Gemini’s Integration with Google Messages’

Google has recently announced the integration of its Gemini AI into the Google Messages app, making it accessible to beta testers. This feature acts as a smart chatbot within the messaging platform, allowing users to ask questions, draft messages, and more. Similar to how Gemini functions on the web, users can now conveniently access this AI directly within Google Messages.

One of the key advantages of having Gemini in Google Messages is that users no longer have to switch between apps or websites to utilize Google’s AI while chatting. It is important to note that conversations with Gemini are not end-to-end encrypted, which may be a concern for some users. Additionally, beta testers must have RCS enabled and own compatible devices such as Pixel 6 or later, Pixel Fold, Samsung Galaxy S22 or later, or Samsung Galaxy Z Flip/Z Fold to access this feature.

The rollout of Gemini in Google Messages is currently underway in 165 countries where English is set as the language (French is also available in Canada). The deployment is being done gradually, so if you don’t see the feature yet, it should be available to you in due time. Stay tuned for updates as more users gain access to this innovative AI integration.
