Future Storytellers to be Featured in ‘We Create Drama’ Film Festival

Paramount Hotel Dubai is hosting a day of engaging workshops, screenings, and panel discussions to celebrate the art of cinema. Scheduled for Sunday, June 2nd, the festival’s highlight will be public screenings of films by the top nine finalists of the competition.

This festival is a collaboration between Paramount Hotel Dubai, Nikon Middle East and Africa, Grand Stores, Zhiyun, and Westford University. Participants can look forward to sessions on “The Art of Independent Filmmaking” and “AI in Cinema: Exploring the Future of Film,” providing valuable insights into the filmmaking process.

Notable speakers from American University of Sharjah and SAE Film Institute will share their knowledge and experiences, creating a conducive learning environment for aspiring filmmakers. Additionally, Nikon Middle East will conduct a cinematography workshop to provide hands-on experience with advanced equipment.

Panel discussions will feature directors and finalists of the “We Create Drama” Film Festival, delving into their creative processes and film backstories. The nine finalist films will be screened in the hotel’s private dine-in cinema, the Paramount Screening Room, equipped with a 175-inch cinema screen.

Each film, ranging from three to ten minutes, will be open for public viewing to showcase the diverse and innovative storytelling skills of the participants. Awards at the festival include “Film of the Year,” Director of the Year, Actor of the Year, Actress of the Year, DOP of the Year, and Writer of the Year.

Pascal Eggerstedt, General Manager at Paramount Hotel Dubai, stated: “This weekend is a celebration of the incredible talent and creativity within our filmmaking community. It’s an honor to support and showcase the visionary storytellers of tomorrow.”
