‘Full London audiovisual lineup and programme unveiled for first Crux Festival’

Crux, a renowned platform for interactive electronic music and audiovisual events in the capital city, has exciting news to share. The inaugural Crux Festival is scheduled to take place on the 13th and 14th of April 2024 at the Rich Mix Arts Centre located in East London.

The festival promises attendees groundbreaking performances, including The Light Surgeons unveiling their live cinema show ‘Atemporal 2.0’, AJA’s raw and visceral show, and Waterflower’s avant-pop AV extravaganza from Latvia. This lineup guarantees an electrifying experience for all music and art enthusiasts.

Visitors can look forward to a weekend filled with diverse electronic music and visual performances, along with daytime activities such as talks, Ableton workshops, and open-mic-style electronic music performance slots. The carefully curated program for Saturday, April 13th, includes immersive audio experiences, boundary-pushing AV showcases, a video projection mapping workshop by AV expert Dave Stitch, and a panel discussion on the prominence of women in electronic music.

As the sun sets on Saturday night, performances from Kareem Samara, I Am FYA, and Error CD will lead the way to a high-energy afterparty featuring Parallel Action, Polyop, Freddy Frogs, and more. Sunday’s schedule will focus on engagement and performances from The Light Surgeons, Ross Flight, and more. An interactive workshop by DMLab will explore accessibility in electronic music, creating an inclusive atmosphere for all attendees.

Nick Feldman, Director at Crux, expressed his excitement about Crux Festival as a celebration of creativity and innovation within the electronic music and visual performance realms. Accessibility is a key focus, with affordably priced tickets starting at £10 for day passes and £23 for full weekend passes. The festival’s realization was made possible through a project grant from Arts Council England in collaboration with Rich Mix.
