Floating Hospital in the UAE: Commitment to Aid Palestinians in Gaza
The UAE Floating Hospital in the Egyptian city of Al Arish continues to provide essential medical care and humanitarian aid to the Palestinian residents of the Gaza Strip. This dedicated team embodies the UAE’s commitment to global welfare by executing their duties with unwavering dedication.
President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s directives have led to the establishment of “Operation Chivalrous Knight 3” to provide support and assistance to the Gaza Strip residents. The collaboration between the Ministry of Defence and Abu Dhabi Ports Group has resulted in the creation of this floating hospital, which boasts a diverse staff of medical and administrative professionals.
Dr. Ahmed Mubarak, the Director of the Floating Hospital, highlights the facility’s state-of-the-art equipment and adherence to international standards. With 100 patient beds and accommodations for their companions, the hospital offers a comfortable environment for families. The hospital’s advanced surgical and intensive care units, emergency services, radiology, and support facilities ensure the delivery of vital medical services.
Equipped with two ambulances, a helipad, and naval vessels for swift medical interventions, the hospital is well-prepared to handle critical cases. Each patient receives personalized treatment at the highest healthcare standards, with a current patient count of 153 and 328 surgeries performed since its inception.
