‘First Aid Ship Arrives in Gaza’

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) announced today that the first humanitarian aid ship has arrived in the Gaza Strip through the sea corridor between Cyprus and Gaza. This initiative is part of the UAE’s efforts to mobilize support for the Amalthea sea corridor and deliver essential aid to the people in northern Gaza.

In a statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs recognized the crucial role played by the leadership of the Republic of Cyprus and international partners in supporting this initiative. The Ministry emphasized the urgent need for a multilateral, international cooperative approach to address the deteriorating humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip and ensure the immediate and safe delivery of aid to civilians in need.

The Ministry stated, “The sea corridor is an important step in increasing the flow of aid and commercial goods to the region through various routes.” This effort aims to provide continuous support and assistance to the people of Gaza who are facing a dire humanitarian crisis.

By facilitating the transportation of humanitarian aid through the sea corridor, the UAE is demonstrating its commitment to alleviating the suffering of innocent civilians in Gaza. The successful arrival of the first aid ship marks a significant milestone in providing much-needed relief to those in need.
