Financing Projects in 42 African Countries by Abu Dhabi Development Fund

The Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD) played a crucial role in a US.5 billion initiative led by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in 2023 to strengthen Africa’s sustainable energy infrastructure. The Africa50 Fund, an investment platform established by African governments and the African Development Bank, partnered with this effort to bridge the infrastructure financing gap in Africa through project development supported by both public and private sectors.

According to reports, ADFD has been a key player in fostering infrastructure development, economic diversification, and overall growth in African economies over the past decade. This collaboration highlights the commitment of various stakeholders to promote sustainable development and improve access to vital resources in the region.
