Extended Deadline for UPCAT Application Now Available

The University of the Philippines (UP) has decided to extend the deadline for college applications until May 31, giving aspiring freshmen more time to complete their requirements. This extension applies to those hoping to take the UP College Admission Test (UPCAT) for Academic Year 2025 to 2026.

Applicants are now required to submit their fully accomplished Form 1 Personal Data Sheet by May 31, while the deadline for the Form 2A High School Profile and confirmation from the applicant’s senior high school has been pushed to June 7. In areas with limited internet access, manually accomplished application forms will be accepted.

UP initially opened its applications on April 15, setting the original deadline for Form 1 submission on May 15 and Form 2A on May 22. Test-takers in August will undergo assessments in language proficiency (English and Filipino), reading comprehension (English and Filipino), science, and mathematics.

For additional information and guidance, applicants can visit the upcat2025online.up.edu.ph website. Additionally, UP has expanded its testing sites from 102 to 113, aiming to have at least one UPCAT center in every province, including remote regions like Davao de Oro, Zamboanga Sibugay, Saranggani, Maguindanao del Sur, and Lanao del Sur.

Apart from public high schools and colleges in the Philippines, UPCAT will also be administered in various locations in the Middle East such as Oman, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Jeddah, Riyadh, and Al Khobar. Successful passers will be granted admission as first-year college students for the first semester of the 2025-2026 academic year.
