‘Exciting Asian Film Festival Coming to Tampa Theater’

Calling all Filipinos, Asian Pacific Islanders, and Americans!

The Mayor’s Asian Pacific Islander Advisory Council invites you to join us at the Asian Film Festival at Tampa Theater this Saturday, May 18th. We will be showcasing the award-winning documovie “FOOD ROOTS” in honor of Asian American Pacific Islander month.

The event will kick off with a red carpet socializing hour at 6 pm in the Tampa Theater lobby before the screening of “FOOD ROOTS” at 7 pm. This documovie follows Bill Dec, a Filipino-American from Chicago and owner of the Asian fusion restaurant SUNDA in Tampa, as he explores his roots and delves into the culinary treasures of the Philippines.

In addition to “FOOD ROOTS,” there will also be a showing of “KUNG FU PANDA 4” at 4 pm before the main event.
