Etihad Airways Expands Interline Partnerships to Enhance Travel Options

Etihad Airways has recently announced the establishment of reciprocal interline partnerships with five additional airline partners to further broaden travel options for guests within its growing global network.

The airline has entered into agreements with Kam Air in Afghanistan, SKY Express in Greece, Rex Airlines in Australia, Jeju Air in Korea, and Myanmar Airways International. These partnerships aim to provide customers of all participating airlines with improved connectivity to various destinations across their networks. This enables guests to book their entire journey on a single ticket and have their baggage checked seamlessly through to their final destination.

Arik De, Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer of Etihad, expressed, “We are committed to expanding our network reach to facilitate seamless connections across our network and offer our guests a wider range of travel options. These five interline partnerships will simplify the travel experience for customers of all airlines involved.”

These new collaborations bring an array of travel options for Etihad’s guests. For instance, travelers at Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport can seamlessly connect to Kam Air flights to Kabul, providing access to destinations in Afghanistan. Moreover, guests flying on Etihad’s flights to Athens can easily connect with SKY Express to reach 28 destinations across Greece and its picturesque islands.

Rex Airlines offers convenient access for passengers from Etihad’s gateways in Sydney and Melbourne to 22 destinations in Australia, including Adelaide, Hobart, Canberra, Brisbane, and the Gold Coast. Additionally, Jeju Air allows guests to continue their journey from Seoul to 27 destinations across seven countries in Northeast Asia. Meanwhile, the partnership with Myanmar Airways International enhances access to Yangon and Mandalay through Etihad’s gateways in South Asia.

Etihad Airways has now established 123 interline, codeshare, and strategic partnerships with airlines globally, further solidifying its position as a leading airline in the industry.
