Encounter the Hulk in Marvel Universe LIVE!

Tucker, known for his portrayal of The Incredible Hulk in Marvel Universe LIVE!, shared his journey to becoming the iconic character in a recent interview. Prior to his role as the Hulk, Tucker studied Theatre Performance and had been working as a professional actor, host, and improviser since 2017.

During casting for the show, Tucker’s skills caught the eye of the Fight Choreographer, who asked if he could walk on stilts. Without hesitation, Tucker purchased a pair of stilts and taught himself how to use them. This led to his impressive portrayal of the Hulk in a 97kg costume, showcasing his dedication and adaptability to new challenges.

Performing in Marvel Universe LIVE! has allowed Tucker to travel the world, explore new places, and bond with a new “family” created among the cast and crew. While the experience has been rewarding, being away from loved ones has presented its challenges. However, the supportive environment on tour has helped alleviate feelings of homesickness.

When asked about which other character he would like to portray in the show, Tucker expressed interest in Green Goblin and Drax the Destroyer, citing their unique fighting styles and comedic elements as appealing factors.

One of the biggest challenges Tucker faces while performing in the show is pacing himself, given the demanding nature of the performance and multiple shows a day. Despite this, he continues to push himself and deliver an unforgettable experience to audiences worldwide.

Having joined the cast in the spring of 2023, Tucker’s favorite tour location so far has been Dubai, UAE, where he enjoyed the sights, cuisine, and even a memorable yacht ride in the Persian Gulf with cast and crew.

Looking forward to the Australian leg of the tour, Tucker is excited to explore landmarks such as the Sydney Opera House and engage in activities like scuba diving in the Pacific Ocean. Marvel Universe LIVE! will be in Sydney from April 19-22 and Adelaide from April 26-28, offering fans the chance to witness Tucker’s incredible performance as the Hulk.
