Empowering Change: Make a Difference

Anderson Rocio, a talented singer and songwriter, is thrilled about the upcoming global release of her music video “Power in Us” in June to celebrate World Ocean Month. The video showcases the work of 44 photographers and filmmakers collaborating to raise awareness about conservation efforts.

A classically-trained musician, Anderson was asked to compose a song inspired by the Antarctic Climate Expedition 2023 led by Dr Sylvia Earle. The song was released last year on World Ocean Day, and the official video release is scheduled for World Sea Turtle Day this year.

The “Power in Us” project aims to empower individuals to take action for the environment. Anderson emphasizes that everyone has the power to make a difference, and the streaming revenue generated by the song will support ocean conservation efforts.

Collaborating with Mother magazine, Anderson was able to connect with photographers and filmmakers passionate about environmental conservation. The resulting music video features stunning visuals of the natural world, highlighting the importance of protecting our planet.

Anderson and Wayne Pottow, co-founder of the Power in Us Project, will be participating in the Dubai Turtle Rehabilitation Project to celebrate World Ocean Month. The Gala Dinner event will include a live performance by Anderson, the premiere of the music video, and discussions with global ocean conservation leaders.

The official music video for “Power in Us” will debut on all platforms on World Sea Turtle Day, June 16, with streaming revenue donated to SeaLegacy for conservation efforts. This project demonstrates the collective power of storytelling and music in inspiring positive change for the planet.
