Electric Mercedes Vehicle Travels 627 Miles on One Charge with Air Conditioning – News Outlet
Mercedes-Benz’s Vision EQXX has set a new efficiency record by covering an impressive 627 miles on a single charge with the air conditioning on. This breakthrough showcases the brand’s commitment to developing highly efficient electric vehicles for the global market.
The EQXX achieved this remarkable feat during a journey across the Arabian desert, traveling from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to Dubai, UAE. With an efficiency of 8.4 miles per kilowatt-hour, the aerodynamic design of the vehicle allowed it to navigate the challenging desert terrain while maximizing battery power and range.
Compared to previous achievements, such as a 626-mile journey from Germany to France and a 747-mile trip from Stuggart to Silverstone, the EQXX continues to push the boundaries of electric vehicle efficiency. With a drag coefficient of 0.17 and advanced aero features, the EQXX outperforms other electric vehicles in terms of energy efficiency.
Mercedes-Benz’s Chief Technology Officer, Markus Schäfer, commented on the successful desert expedition, stating that the EQXX’s performance proves that electric drive technology is ready for global markets. The company also revealed that the EQXX serves as a preview for future models based on its next-generation MMA platform, with innovative technologies like a multi-source heat pump being integrated into upcoming models.
As Mercedes-Benz continues to innovate in the electric vehicle space, the success of the Vision EQXX highlights the potential for highly efficient and sustainable transportation solutions in the future.
