Dubai Government Entities Instructed to Enhance Preparedness for Unexpected Weather Conditions

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai’s Crown Prince and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, has directed heads of Dubai Government entities to develop a proactive plan to further enhance the emirate’s preparedness for dealing with unexpected weather conditions.

During a recent meeting with heads of various government departments, Sheikh Hamdan reviewed the progress made in restoring normalcy across Dubai following severe weather conditions. He emphasized that the challenges faced in recent days present an opportunity for the emirate to strengthen its emergency response systems and establish a new mechanism supported by proactive plans to manage various scenarios.

Sheikh Hamdan expressed his close monitoring of the situation alongside government entities to address the challenges encountered by emergency response teams during extreme weather events. He reiterated that the safety of every citizen, resident, and visitor remains the highest priority for the Dubai Government.
