Dr Bina Rawal Joins Primary Health Properties PLC as Independent Non-executive Director

Primary Health Properties PLC, a prominent investor in modern primary healthcare facilities in the UK, has appointed Dr. Bandhana (Bina) Rawal as an independent Non-executive Director of the Company effective from 27th February 2024.

With 25 years of senior executive experience in healthcare, Bina has worked with esteemed pharmaceutical companies like Roche and global research funding charity Wellcome Trust. She currently serves as the Senior Independent Director at Worldwide Healthcare Trust PLC, a FTSE 250-listed investment trust specializing in healthcare and life sciences companies. Bina is also a non-executive director of Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust.

Bringing a breadth of experience in patient care, digital and population health, ESG, strategy, partnerships, risk management, and equality, diversity, and inclusion, Bina has established extensive networks in the UK healthcare sector through her senior executive and non-executive roles in public, private, and not-for-profit organizations.

The Company’s Board now consists of seven directors, with a majority being independent non-executive directors.

Steven Owen, the Chairman, expressed his delight in Bina joining the Group as an independent Non-executive Director. He highlighted her valuable experience in healthcare strategy, partnerships, governance, and risk management, which will benefit the Company in fulfilling its purpose of supporting healthcare providers in delivering services to communities.
