DEWA Donates AED 20 Million to Mothers’ Endowment Campaign

The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has committed AED 20 million to the Mothers’ Endowment campaign, a charitable initiative introduced by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai. The campaign’s goal is to establish a AED 1 billion endowment fund dedicated to supporting global educational programs.

Launched during the holy month of Ramadan, this initiative showcases the UAE’s dedication to promoting values of respect, kindness, and solidarity, along with its humanitarian efforts to provide sustainable support through education and empowerment. Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, DEWA’s CEO, expressed pride in partnering with Sheikh Mohammed’s philanthropic endeavors, emphasizing the crucial role of education in empowering communities and advancing stability.

The Mothers’ Endowment campaign, which acknowledges the contributions of mothers, aligns with the objectives of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives. It aims to tackle the challenge of ensuring quality education for all, in accordance with the United Nations’ fourth sustainable development goal. The campaign collaborates with various humanitarian organizations to initiate educational projects in disadvantaged areas.

Donations to the campaign can be made through multiple channels, including its website (Mothersfund.ae), a toll-free call center (800 9999), bank transfers to Emirates Islamic Bank (AE790340003708472909201), SMS donations for Etisalat by e&u users, the DubaiNow app, and the Jood community contribution platform.

This initiative underscores the UAE’s commitment to promoting education and empowering communities globally.
