‘Dinosaurs Soar at LEGOLAND California with LEGO Models’

LEGO dinosaurs, including a Dilophosaurus and a Stegosaurus, were recently craned into LEGOLAND California Resort’s new land, Dino Valley, set to open this spring. These models, made up of more than 1.8 million LEGO bricks, were carefully lifted into their new home due to their size and weight.

One of the standout models is a bright purple Dilophosaurus weighing 164 pounds, followed by a yellow Dilophosaurus that took a team of five Master Model Builders 450 hours to design and build. Additionally, the land will feature other prehistoric LEGO models such as Pterodactyls, Raptors, Parasaurolophus, and Brachiosaurus, with the largest being an 11-foot-tall LEGO T-Rex in the interactive ride, Explorer River Quest.

Dino Valley aims to bring LEGO to life in dinosaur form, offering three rides, an interactive build and play area, and plenty of prehistoric fun. Highlights include DUPLO Little Dino Trail, Explorer River Quest, Coastersaurus, and an Interactive Dino Area where visitors can uncover fossils and create dinosaurs with LEGO bricks.

Moreover, the 2024 season at LEGOLAND California will feature North America’s first-ever LEGO World Parade, showcasing impressive parade floats inspired by LEGO City Firetruck, pirate ships, LEGO NINJAGO, LEGO Friends, and LEGO City Deep Sea Adventure. Entertainers in vibrant costumes will march through the Park’s west side, dancing and singing to an original soundtrack, providing a perfect finale to a day filled with rides, shows, and attractions at the park.
