‘DEWA joins UAE Innovation Month’

Dubai’s Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) is actively participating in “UAE Innovates 2024” as part of the UAE Innovation Month. This initiative aligns with DEWA’s goal to establish UAE Innovates as the premier national event on a global scale.

Throughout February, DEWA is hosting various events and activities at its headquarters, Distribution Power Division Complex, and Warsan Complex. Additionally, the organization will have a booth at the UAE Innovates exhibition, held at the Mohammed Bin Rashid Center for Government Innovation in Dubai.

With over fifty cutting-edge projects on display at DEWA’s premises, the Innovation Week event at the headquarters’ Innovation Tent will showcase 14 creative projects. Furthermore, DEWA plans to host eighteen workshops for staff members and students in schools, both in-person and virtually.

To encourage participation in foreseeing and constructing a sustainable future, DEWA will host the Annual Innovation and Future Conference on February 27 at DEWA Academy. The event will feature 12 prominent local and international speakers, creatives, and innovators.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, the Managing Director and CEO of DEWA, expressed the organization’s commitment to innovation and leveraging the latest disruptive technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. DEWA aims to develop proactive solutions to address evolving challenges and maintain global excellence in the transition to a green economy.

Al Tayer also emphasized DEWA’s role in supporting Dubai’s advancement and leading the future by adapting traditional work mechanisms to suit rapid global changes. With a focus on generative Artificial Intelligence, digital transformation, and cutting-edge solar and renewable energy technologies, DEWA remains at the forefront of innovation.

Overall, DEWA’s involvement in UAE Innovates underscores its dedication to advancing innovation and driving sustainable development in Dubai and beyond.
