‘Dewa Joins the Celebration of Innovation in the UAE’

DUBAI – Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa) is actively participating in the UAE Innovation Month ‘UAE Innovates 2024’ to showcase its commitment to innovation and sustainability. Dewa is hosting a series of events and activities throughout February at various locations including its head office, Distribution Power Division Complex, and Warsan Complex. The company is also exhibiting over 50 innovative projects at its buildings and taking part in the UAE Innovates exhibition at the Emirates Towers organized by the Mohammed Bin Rashid Centre for Government Innovation.

As part of its efforts to promote innovation, Dewa is hosting the Innovation Week event at its head office, featuring 14 innovative projects, and organizing 18 workshops for employees and school students to engage in shaping a sustainable future. Additionally, Dewa will be hosting the Annual Innovation and the Future Conference at Dewa Academy on February 27, with the participation of 12 local and international speakers, creatives, and innovators.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of Dewa, emphasized the importance of innovation in achieving the UAE’s future strategies and goals. Al Tayer highlighted Dewa’s focus on utilizing disruptive technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, digital transformation, and solar energy to develop proactive solutions for ongoing challenges and to support the transition to a green economy.
