‘Dean Devlin from Electric Entertainment to be Recognized at Series Nostrum – Señal News’

Dean Devlin, the renowned showrunner, writer, producer, and film and television director, is set to receive the prestigious International Series Nostrum Creator Award at the upcoming festival. This award, introduced in the 2024 edition, aims to celebrate the exceptional talent and creative vision of television luminaries from around the globe.

The accolade will be presented to Devlin during the festival’s closing gala on Saturday, June 8th, marking a fitting end to a visit that will also feature the acclaimed creator participating in a panel discussing his illustrious and prolific career. Rachel Olschan-Wilson, Devlin’s partner and co-founder of Electric Entertainment, will be accompanying him to Elche for the event.

Throughout his illustrious career, Dean Devlin has left an indelible mark on the entertainment and science fiction realms. He is credited with writing the script for the cult classic “Universal Soldier” and collaborating with acclaimed director Roland Emmerich on blockbuster hits like “Stargate,” “Independence Day,” and “Godzilla.”

In 2001, Devlin co-founded Electric Entertainment alongside Marc Roskin and Rachel Olschan-Wilson. The independent studio, based in Los Angeles, has since been lauded for its production and distribution of genre-defining content, particularly in the realms of fantasy and science fiction. Notable works from Electric Entertainment include “Leverage,” “The Librarians,” and “The Outpost,” which have garnered acclaim from audiences worldwide.

Currently, Dean Devlin is involved in various projects as showrunner, producer, director, and/or screenwriter, including “Leverage: Redemption,” “Almost Paradise,” and “The Ark.” Additionally, a new spinoff titled “The Librarians: The Next Chapter” is in production and is slated to premiere on the CW this fall.
