Deal between Eutelsat and Universal Satcom in Dubai extends Ku-band services

Eutelsat Group has announced an extension of its partnership with Universal Satcom in Dubai, allowing the satellite communication system integrator to enhance its Ku-band services. The multi-year agreement will enable Universal Satcom to utilize Eutelsat’s Geostationary ADVANCE maritime packaged services to broaden its coverage in the Middle East, North Africa, and beyond.

Cyril Dujardin, Co-President of Eutelsat Group’s Connectivity Business Unit, highlighted the importance of seamless maritime connectivity for oil and gas companies, emphasizing the trust placed in Eutelsat’s high-quality service by Universal Satcom. Eutelsat ADVANCE Maritime is tailored to meet the connectivity requirements of mobile users in remote areas, offering packaged and wholesale services for satcom providers targeting maritime markets with multi-regional or global reach.

Reema El Omari, CEO of Universal Satcom, noted the company’s strong presence in the MENA region and its commitment to delivering top-notch services to clients in industries such as oil and gas. The partnership with Eutelsat will further bolster Universal Satcom’s ability to meet the demanding needs of maritime markets and enhance its service offerings to clients in the future.
