‘Cysic, ZK Hardware Acceleration Project Raises M in Funding’
On May 23, the Dfinity Foundation, a key contributor to Internet Computer (ICP), made an announcement regarding their new EVM RPC canister. This new API allows ICP smart contracts to interact with and exchange data across different blockchain networks. The team behind this development stated that the EVM RPC canister is a significant milestone in the advancement of Dfinity’s Chain Fusion framework.
With the implementation of the EVM RPC canister, Internet Computer smart contracts can now directly communicate with major blockchains such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other EVMs. In the near future, the team plans to add compatibility with Solana as well, eliminating the need for any intermediaries in the process.
In addition to this update, the team also revealed the availability of ckUSDC, an interoperable stablecoin that is pegged 1:1 to USDC. This stablecoin can now be utilized across the Internet Computer platform, offering users more flexibility and options for their transactions.
These developments signify a significant step forward in the integration and interoperability of different blockchain networks, showcasing the continuous growth and innovation within the cryptocurrency space.
