‘Creative Showcase of St Vincent de Paul Students’

St. Vincent de Paul Primary School in Ligoniel recently held its second annual art exhibition, showcasing the artistic talents of its pupils. The exhibition took place at the Ligoniel Community Centre, where families were invited to admire the artwork on display.

Lord Mayor Ryan Murphy made an appearance at the event, joining Principal Bronagh McVeigh in presenting prizes to students who demonstrated excellence in their artistic endeavors throughout the year. Kerry O’Kane, the Arts Co-ordinator at the school, praised the students’ hard work and dedication.

According to O’Kane, the art classes at the school started in September, exposing students to various art mediums such as clay, monoprints, acrylic paint on canvas, and watercolors. She emphasized the importance of art education for all students, noting that it provides a creative outlet for those who may not excel in traditional academic subjects.

The event was a great success, celebrating the creativity and talent of the students at St. Vincent de Paul Primary School.
