‘Company Secures M in Series C Funding for Natural Cycles’

Natural Cycles, a women’s health company based in Stockholm, Sweden, has secured million in Series C funding. The investment was led by Lauxera Capital Partners, with participation from Point72 Private Investments and a revolving debt facility from J.P. Morgan. Other investors include EQT Ventures, Samsung Ventures, Heartcore Capital, Headline, and Bonnier Ventures. Samuel Levy, founding partner of Lauxera Capital Partners, will join Natural Cycles’ Board of Directors as part of the investment.

The company plans to utilize the funds for commercial acceleration, new product development, and healthcare reimbursement automation.

Founded in 2013 by Dr. Elina Berglund Scherwitzl and Dr. Raoul Scherwitzl, Natural Cycles offers a contraceptive app that has been used by over three million users worldwide. The NC° app uses an algorithm that analyzes body temperature to determine daily fertility status. Users can manually input their temperature or sync data from devices like Oura Ring or Apple Watch. The app has received clearance from regulatory bodies in the United States, Europe, Canada, Australia, Singapore, and South Korea.

Recently, the company launched NC° Postpartum, a feature within the app designed to support new moms during their postpartum recovery. This new addition complements the existing modes in the Natural Cycles app, including NC° Birth Control, NC° Plan Pregnancy, and NC° Follow Pregnancy, providing comprehensive support throughout the fertility journey.

Overall, the latest funding round will enable Natural Cycles to further expand its offerings and reach in the women’s health market.
