Colloquium featuring Todd Allen

Todd Allen will be speaking at the upcoming Colloquium on the topic of “Net Zero Economy: What’s Up With That (and Nuclear)?” The discussion will focus on the complexities of transitioning to a net-zero economy, including the role of nuclear energy in developing new technologies and expanding their use. Allen, a professor at the University of Michigan and senior fellow at Third Way, will highlight the key considerations for successful transitions, such as Energy Technology Complexity, System-informed Decision-Making, and Community-appropriate Capacity Expansion. His talk will provide valuable insights into the strategies needed to achieve decarbonized systems.

The colloquium will take place on Wednesday, February 21 from 1:30pm to 3:00pm at the Zeanah Engineering Complex, room 123, located at 863 Neyland Drive, Knoxville TN 37996. For those unable to attend in person, the event will also be available via Panopto.
